What We Believe

  1. The 66 books contained in the Old and New Testaments are plenarily and verbally inspired by God, fully inerrant in the original autographs and are the only absolute and infallible authority in matters of faith and conduct.

  2. There is only one true and living God, Creator of all things, infinite, unchangeable, and eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit (the Trinity).

  3. Jesus, the second person of the Trinity, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a vicarious and atoning death for all and rose bodily from the dead.

  4. The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He indwells every true believer permanently from the moment of salvation.

  5. The universe was brought into existence by the direct act of the Triune God as recorded in the Bible. We reject the theory of theistic and atheistic evolution as contrary to the Scriptures.

  6. All humans are totally depraved, dead in trespasses and sins, being sinners both by nature and by choice, and that all stand in need of the forgiveness of God and of the new birth through regeneration by the Holy Spirit.

  7. Salvation comes through the atoning work and shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, by faith apart from works, and is freely given to all who receive Christ as personal Savior. Salvation is a free gift provided through the grace of God, and cannot be earned and is not deserved.

  8. The truly born-again Christian is eternally secure in Christ, that he/she is kept by the power of God, that nothing can separate him/her from the love of God.

  9. The universal, invisible Church is the body of Christ, consists of all true believers in Jesus Christ from the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2). A local New Testament church is an assembly of professed believers in Christ that exists for the public worship of God, instruction in the Word of God and evangelization of the lost. The ordinances of the church are believer's baptism and the Lord's Supper (communion).

  10. We await the physical, personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is the Blessed Hope. We believe the best and most biblical understanding of end times is dispensational, pretribulational and premillennial.

  11. There are two bodily resurrections: of believers unto everlasting blessedness in the first resurrection (Heaven) and of unbelievers unto judgment and everlasting punishment in the second resurrection (Hell).
